When I was in my secondary school, my former teachers used PowerPoint slides to deliver their lessons. The PowerPoint slide was very well organized and was a summarized form of a textbook. These slides were also printed out and given out to us. It actually made us understand the lessons better and also helped us with our exams or tests. Visualiser was also used in class when my former teachers were to go through worksheets or home work. The visualiser zoom in the words to bigger form which made us be able to copy down important things that the teacher wrote down. The teacher will be able to deliver his or her lesson better which in turn also made our learning easier.
Instead of a particular lesson, I would want to highlight one of the programme that is implement by the school of mine. It was taken place when I was in Stamford Primary School. I still remember there was a period when a show “I want to be a millionaire” was famous when I was in my Primary School. The school came up with a computer games that is of similar to the show. My teacher brought us to the computer lab, and taught us to on how to play the game. My class was EM2 and the lesson that was taught is Mathematics. The questionnaires were like a MCQ with 4 answers to choose from and had different subjects to choose from. And at the end of the questionnaires, the teacher was able to know who has the most correct answers. The “I want to be a millionaire” became one of the popular games in the school and the school even bring in a mini computer lab at the canteen. So during recess time, students would gather at the area to do the games. At the end of the month, the principle rewarded students who had attempted most questionnaires correctly. It was a programme that allowed students to practice their subject in a more interesting way.
Most teacher uses powerpoint slides to deliver their lessons and some times with the help of projector and also visualiser. I have also come across some teachers who wanted to make their lessons more interesting by sharing videos to their students.
